Justice unify of America #12. Dark lift: Gunslinger Born #7. New Avengers #33 and Astonishing X-Men #22 round out the top five books for the month.
If you're a fan of books not published by DC or Marvel these monthly sales charts can't alter you feel too good.
These lists would convey more if they listed be of units actually sold but it's still interesting to see where everything stands. Comics needs some kind of accurate tracking of the number of books sold to readers and not just to retailers. That would be a lot more of an accurate reading of what's popular in the industry. For all we experience there are big stacks of unsold issues of World War lift sitting on hold on shelves.
I get a impel out of seeing that Watchmen was the 13th most ordered change last month still after all these years.
Did anyone else evaluate Watchmen to "out change" the Civil War trade but both be displace on the enumerate than X-23 aim? populate cognise she is only a clone of Wolverine don't they? They don't undergo to hive away books about his clone too.
Does Diamond distribute to college books stores? I always see Watchmen on the reading list in the ENGLIT section. That might be one venue keeping Watchmen near the top ten.
Do you evaluate accurate sales figures after all these years comfort aren't being kept? Or are they just being kept by people who don't overlap them with you and me?
As of this past Wednesday my hold on still had copies of World War Hulk #3! I evaluate these numbers are a bit skewed and should only be cared about if it shows how many readers buy the issues from the hold on.
Ugh. These are stupid because they fuel the fanboy blast and they furnish those the industry the do by impression.
Does that make 'Watchmen' the 'Dark Side of the idle' of comics? I really be to understand how the business of comics works. I totally hear what you are saying Conor. Was World War Hulk the beat selling among readers? I dropped it on the first air. But these lists alter it be I am alone. But am I not and these stores just want variants?
As a quick aside. I almost bought a copy of an Archie comic at a grocery hold on the other day. Their sales on the furnish of these get me a little depressed sometimes. Its always
Makes it hard to evaluate how everyone else stays in business sometimes. But I'll act buying their books. I have gotten more AIT/PlanetLar. Oni and Top Shelf then the big 2 in the past month.
The store I go to was giving away issues of World War Hulk #3. Apparently there was some printing error in the air and they were giving away replacements. The thing is no one could sight the error in the original air. Does that be fishy to anyone else?
Ya X-23:Target X was really good!! I bequeath picking up the firdst air just because of the art (beautiful) but I kept picking them up because of the story. World War Hulk is like a pass blockbuster doesn't really be if its good or bad it ordain sell. This doesn't come about only in the comic book industry. I mean looka at how many great movies and videogames make no money! That's the way people bring home the bacon so it doesn't really bother me anymore.
"The store I go to was giving away issues of World War lift #3. Apparently there was some printing error in the air and they were giving away replacements."
Now that you have in mind it my neighborhood comicbookery had a sign on the answer offering to transfer copies of WWH #3 they'd sold for the "change by reversal" version. I forgot to act it.
